Specific Terms for the Use of Personal Data

Human

Human-Readable Summary (Plain English)

This agreement puts you, the individual, in control of how your personal data is used when you buy any product or service that has a digital component (including the purchase or subscription/sign-up record). You’re offering your data with clear terms — and an organization must agree to those terms if they want to use it to deliver a base-level product or service to you.

What You’re Offering to the Organisation

  • You can use my data for service delivery.
    • My data can be processed, but only to deliver what I’ve chosen to allow — no extra uses.
  • You may share service data with us voluntarily.
    • Things like service-related data can be shared if you wish, and only for the agreed purpose.

What the Organisation is Not Allowed To Do

  • They cannot use your data for analytics purposes.
    • They are not allowed to process your information for service analytics.
  • They cannot track you across services.
    • Tracking of your personal data by the organisation or third parties they engage is not permitted.
  • They cannot profile you.
    • They are not allowed to create behavioral profiles based on your personal data.
  • They cannot share your data with third parties.
    • Your personal information stays between you and the organisation — it won’t be passed on.

If There’s a Conflict

If anything’s unclear, this policy follows the rule: permissions override prohibitions, which means if something is both allowed and disallowed, it is considered allowed.
